Thanks for visiting my blog.

Het zou leuk zijn wanneer je een berichtje achterlaat. :-)
I would appreciate a little message. :-)

Hierbij wil ik Petra bedanken want dankzij haar geweldige site,
www.poohbeers.eigenstart.nl, ben ik met de bouw van mijn poppenhuis begonnen.

Thanks to Petra. Without her nice site, www.poohbeers.eigenstart.nl, I would never been started with my doll house.

Ik probeer de dingen die ik maak zo goed mogelijk te omschrijven maar er kunnen soms typefoutjes in de tekst staan dus controleer van te voren even of het allemaal klopt.

The thing I create I put on my blog. Although I try to make no mistakes it's possible that something went wrong so please check before you make a copy.

Kitchen floor Victorian dollhouse is ready.

To get a straight edge my husband intersects the glued tiles in half. He uses a razor.

The floor is almost ready. He only needs Gloss Varnish for Fimo clay.

The next project the walls. Silk wallpaper and wainscoting. First the garden needs attention. It can take a while before we start this project.

Victorian kitchen floor 1:12.

The design of the kitchen floor.

We made the tiles with Fimo clay. Black and white.

We use a pasta machine. So you get the same thickness tiles.

The tiles are cut with a plinth scissors. This is provided by my husband with a stop.

To be continued.

Design kitchen floor for Victorian dollhouse.

The black and white tiles are made with Fimo clay.
I use a pasta machine to keep all tiles the same thickness.
When the plates are baked they can easily be cut to the correct size tiles.
The size of the tiles will be 6"x 6" (152mm x 152mm), scaled down to 1:12.

Dollhouse parquet until now.

When you watch the direction of the grain then you get another pattern. The middle section is filled with the same veneer.

Soon I will have to start with the tiles of the kitchen floor. I thought of black and white square tiles. This fits into a house from the Victorian period?

Does anyone have any idea?
