You need: normal paper for printer, spray glue, silk, sciccor and a box where you spray the glue on to the printer paper and an inktjetprinter.
As already told you can view a nice video instruction when you go back to the 8th of December.
It's so simple but not for me. It took me three times to get it perfect. You can make the wallpaper in one day.
It took me one week !
Look what went wrong.
I sprayed the glue on the paper and then put the paper on the silk. I sprayed to much glue on the paper so my silk was filled with glue stains. No problem I use this one for the first try out. So I cut the silk perfectly around the paper.
Then I went to the page of the wallpaper. I copied the page in Word.
The pattern was too small.
Frans sprayed another paper not infused of glue. This time I didn't have sticky fingers so the silk was put on to the paper perfectly.
I cut the silk. Even little pieces of thread, to avoid problems with the paper transport in the printer.
I went to the wallpaper page and saw that you could print directly from that page. When I was still teaching I told my pupils to read everything but this time...I think you have guessed already.
The pattern was too big. So back to the wallpaper page and yes the instruction said that the exact measures are 8 x 10 inches. So I had to put the printer instruction on 20 x 25 cm. instead of full page.
This time we were smart enough to glue a few pages. I thought it may be smarter to print on paper instead of spilling more silk. So first a print on paper and then on silk.
silk
paper
It took me a while but it looks amazing on silk. I decide to let the paper stay on the backside because this silk is very thin and when we glue it to the wall I'm afraid that glue stains will be visible.
Now all I have to do is secure the silk. I don't use hairspray because that turns yellow after a little time.
I bought a bottle of concentrated fixative.
Now I know how to make prints on the silk. The result looks very wonderful.
