I'm having a serious problem. My carpet is ready but I don't dare to cut away the canvas.
When someone knows the solution please put it in the comments I would appreciate it very much if you do.

The rug is almost finished. I'm so glad that I still can embroider.I didn't make fringes on this rug because I like it the way it is yet.
Now I have to solve my problem. Cutting down the unnecessary bulk. What is the best finishing method ??? I'm still puzzled.
These three colors I used for the rug. I'm still having a lot of DMC. So I can embroider cushions, Bell Pulls and Chair Covers. But I've had a enough embroidery for the moment.
I used the book Miniature Embroidery for the Georgian Doll House by Pamela Warner. During the Victorian period they used flower patterns. Georgian is also wright because that's the period before the Victorian. So you did inherit the rug. There are all kind of patterns inside this book so I can also use it for Chair Covers.
My next project will be the staircase. I like the steps to look like they're made of marble. I had to wait till my natural sponge was delivered. It's in the house so I start tomorrow with the steps of the stair.
Here is a nice tutorial for finishing a rug, I know some people like to glue the edge and then cut all the canvas away, but I prefer the method in this tutorial.
