Versailles mirror room parquet floor design for Garfieldhouse.

Mathematics wasn't my favorite field of study. So I'm happy that my husband is very Mathematics and that he will support me with the subjects that need that skill.
The first design
At the left you see the first design that somebody made. But it wasn't the floor we wanted. So on the right you see the new design made by my husband. After a few days we realized that the scale 1:12 wasn't correct.

So second design:

On the left side is the right design.

This is the correct pattern for the parquet floor.

Now we have to cut the oak veneer. Glue it on ivory board.

We glued the wood from outside to the middle and wanted to fill the open  spaces but as you can see there are some lines that doesn't line up. So we  made a new pattern

Glue the 4 longest pieces on the board. Then you go to the middle of that square and glue the parts on the board. You can correct some pieces when you work to the edge. This is the pattern I like for my doll house. Now we have to sand and polish this part to see how it looks when it's finished.

So when you like to know how the floor in the doll house continues you can become a follower. I think that it takes some time to get this floor in the house. It took 4 hours to make this little part of the floor and I didn't count the parts we need for the house.  Mindless and gaze at infinity.

Victorian lamp for writing desk.

My son had ordered 100 LED bulbs in China. Also the resistors. My husband did save some telephone wire which I could use for the electric wire.

First I had to file the hole a bit wider. Now the small part fits into the hole.

Next step is to put the brass tube, length 2,5 cm., on the small part. I use a hammer to put both pieces together with a few soft smacks.

I use a small round file to remove the sharp edges that can damage the electric wires.

Pull the wires through the pipe.

Make a curve at about 2 cm. Before bending you must put the electric wire through the brass tube and the shade must be connected to the feet also. Later on it it's very difficult to connect them on the foot of the lamp.

Now glue the shade to the lamp.

Now prepare the LED and solder it to the wire.

This is a handy help to solder the parts.

.Now you can pull the wire with the LED into the shade.

And after a few failures this is the result.

Donkey ??

How stupid can you be? Three times the shades went well but the fourth time I made a pattern that was wrong.
So today I restart all over again.
In the Netherlands there's a saying....a donkey doesn't hit the same stone three times. LOL....so that makes me ????

Victorian wall lamp.

I'm trying to make a lamp for a writing desk in Victorian Style. I put to much electric power on the LED so I have to start all over again.
One wall lamp was no problem because I bought a workshop kit at http://www.bindelsornaments.nl/joomla/.
This is my favourite web shop.
