How to make a fan and perfume bottles.

With the correct materials it's a piece of cake.

You need two ornaments and a piece of lace. Cling the pleated lace into the folded circle.

I didn't have a  pleater but my husband had a broken umbrella. I came across this idea while I was surfing on the internet. It's from as the mini world turns.

The U profiles from the umbrella had the correct size for the fan.

My husband cut them on the correct length and glued them on a piece of wood.

I put the lace on one half and then spray starch on the lace. Put the other half on it and secure it with clamps.
Thanks to recycling we got a little more space in the garage.

Next project was very simple. I ordered the beads at Bindels and just assemble them with jewelry glue. I think the pictures are enough.

I love the fan form my lady as well as her umbrella.

How to make an umbrella.

I'm back again. Yesterday we had the first birthday of our dog. At the moment he takes his restmoment during the afternoon and in the evening.

So time to make little things again. My husband is making the walls and the ceiling from cardboard to put in every room.

I show you how I made my umbrella.

You need an eyepin or  jewelry pin with a length of 8 cm. I used jewelry glue to glue the beads at the handle of the umbrella.

Draw a circle of 8 or 9 cm. I used a teaglass to draw the circle with a pencil on the fabric.

Now you have to cut the circle.

Fold the circle twice. So you get a fourth part of the circle.

Cut the top. So you can put the jewelry pin through the centre.

I put double sided tissue tape around the jewelry pin to assemble the fabric at the pin. Leaving 4 cm. free off tape for the handle and 1,5 cm. for the top off the umbrella.

Put the jewelry pin in the middle.

Cut away some of the fabric.  This is necessary because you get to much fabric when you fold the umbrella.

 

Put a little bookbinding glue at the end.

Now you start folding the fabric. From right to left at the front.

From left to right at the rear.

Repeat this.

Put sewing thread around. Tie  knot. Cut off the ends of the thread and put a little glue on it.

Cut the bottom neatly.

Wrinkle lace. Glue it on thhe end of the fabric.

To finish the umbrella you glue two beads on the end.

Finishing touch is a loop from satin band. Secure it with a little glue.

It was fun making this little thing.

Welsh Corgi Pembroke.

It has been a while since I've written anything on my blog.

My hobby space is under construction at the moment and we also decided to buy a Welsh Corgi.
His name is Binky and he takes all of my energy.

At the moment I only try to read all of your blogs.

In my mind a lot of projects are waiting to come out.  They're still in my mind and when my hobby space is ready they can come out.

By that time our pup is a well trained doggy that doesn't need all of our attention.
