I try to make a Victorian bed ruffle, bedskirt.

White cotton 11 x 16 cm.

A colored cotton strip 100 cm long and 4 cm  wide.

Make a hem at the underside first. Iron the hem.

Stitch a line with the largest stitch of your sewing machine, at mine it's 5. Tie a knot at the end.

Then pull the thread and measure the strip. It has to fit around the white cotton. Now you have to wrinkle  till the length of 50 cm. Tie a knot agagin.

Divide the wrinkles. Now you cab string it on the white cotton.

The final step. Sew it to the white cotton.
Iron the bed ruffle  and then you're finished. Yes and then I realized that it didn't fit. The bed has four standing tubes. :-(

Now I have to start again. I'm gonna try to make a new band an sew that on an elastic band. I hope that this will work.Is there anybody who has tips. They're very welcome.
