Red roses from satin band for doll house.

Today I've made three roses. I used satin band and green flower tape.
The tool to make those roses I made myself out of a sewing needle and a cork.

I cut off the top of the needle so that the eye still remains for more then half. and put the needle in the cork

Then I take my satin band and roll it around the top of the needle. Put some glue on the bottom of the band. Turn the satin band around and glue it to the bottom of the flower. Repeat that several times until you got the perfect rose.

The end result looks like this.

You can make a rose bush that is in bud or almost coming out to bloom. Use your imagination.

The beginning of the parquet floor.

We started cutting the veneer for the parquet floor. It's quite job. First we  cut the pieces in the size we need for the middle part of the pattern and later on we cut the correct size for the edges to fit perfectly in the frame work.

We need to cut a few more for the total floor. All of this cutting is done by my husband.
